- Jordy Kay, Spring Red (2017)
Pop their spring red in the fridge and you've got yourself the perfect summer beverage for just under $25. Deep purple color hints at the herbal, earthy and flint aromatics but the wine is much more sprightly than you’d expect from a first glance. Lovely dark red fruit, a little tang and generous acid. There are some tannins but the finish is really long and a bit herbal (think thyme) with a pleasant bitterness to round out the dryness. Pairs well with goat cheese.
