La Stoppa, Ageno Emilia Bianco (2012)

Product Description

60% Malvasia di Candia Aromatica/40% Ortrugo & Trebbiano. Average age of the vines is 40 years. 30 days of skin maceration with natural yeasts only results in an "orange" wine of deep color, complex fruit and spice flavors, and tannic structure. Aged for 1 year in half stainlesss steel tanks and half used French oak, followed by 2 years in bottle before release. "Ageno" is in homage to the original owner of the estate, Giancarlo Ageno, a lawyer and wine enthusiast who brought French cuttings to Emilia in the 19th century.
