La Stoppa, Barbera della Stoppa (2009)


Product Description

100% Barbera from vines aged 25-45 years, macerated on the skins for 30 days and fermented using only indigenous yeats. The wine is aged for one year in used barrique and one year in bottle before release. The Barbera della Stoppa is a deep red that unveils itself with time. A hint of barnyard recedes to reveal deep cherry fruit, complex notes of spice and saddle-leather, a warm mid-palate and balanced finish.
