Minimus, Antiquum Farm, Pinot Gris (2016)

Last year's Minimus rose was juicy and succulent Gamay. This year's Minimus rose is a brainy, bone-dry Pinot Gris from a hot, high vineyard in Willamette Valley, starting tense and angular, opening into a supple mix of citrus piths, watermelon, rosewater, blood orange, and papaya. Winemaker Chad Stock delights us so consistently with his experimental bottlings that we might start declaring Minimus inherently delightful. 100 cases of this rose were produced.
