Region - Wagram, Austria
Tasting Notes - A refreshing orange wine, great for entry level orange wine drinkers and the seasoned vets who want an orange wine on the lighter side. Orange zest, lemon aromas, honeysuckle and chalky minerals on the nose dive into the palate of vibrant flavors. Grass, floral notes, and a touch of salinity give more depth to this crushable Austrian orange wine.
Importer Notes - Savio Soares Selections
Harvested from 1.5ha of vineyards planted in 1956 and 1970 on drifted loess. The grapes are hand-harvested in the early October, vineyard sorted and de-stemmed. Maceration lasts for two months in stainless steel tanks, followed by fermentation with natural yeasts that lasts for eight weeks with temperature control in the same steel tanks. The wine stays on the lees until February with no stirring. Aged in steel tanks for five months and unfiltered.
