Ismael Gozalo is at the head of MicroBio Wines. Before starting his own winery, Gozalo was a winemaker and co-owner at Bodega Ossian. 100% Verdejo from ungrafted vines planted in 1972, barrel aged. These Verdejo vines thrive in sandy soil which is an uninhabitable environment for the phylloxera bug. Ismael Gozalo is a native to the small village of Nieva where his vineyard lies at an elevation of 910 meters. Only two barrels of wine produced each year and it is very special to see in magnum form.
