"Pantxu" is the name of the adorable pig, more like a friend, of Albert's that lives on his farm.
100% Ull de Llebre (aka "Eye of the Hare" aka Tempranillo) from a single parcel of organically farmed vines named “Parada del Talaia” grown on calcareous soils and hand harvested. All whole cluster maceration for 10 days with spontaneous yeast fermentation and then pressed followed by 8 months in stainless steel. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero sulfur. Annual production is 3066 bottles, of this minuscule, very low abv (11%) Mediterranean chillable red.
Albert from Celler Tuets, the newest rising star out of the Penedès. All of his wines are made without additives of any kind and yet they are clean and precise. High toned with bright acidity and low alcohol for a Mediterranean climate, you could consider them all thirst wines. Characterized by calcareous soils between 500 and 600 meters of altitude, he's done an incredible job of capturing this expression "from the vine to the bottle," as he likes to say.
