Blend of two native grapes to Galicia, Spain. A coastal red that brings on briny notes and wild flowers. High acid delight that we'll be sipping on warm weather days.
The grapes are harvested together, foot pressed and then macerated with the stems and skins for 3 weeks.
The wine is then aged in amphora for 9 months before bottling.
Grapes: Espadeiro (80%), Caiño (20%)
Constantina Sotelo comes from a winemaking background that goes several generations deep in Rias Baixas. Many of the vines are ungrafted and some are even two centuries old! This wine is new to the states and we are so excited to try more.
Soil type: Granodiorite and amphibolite
