Varietal - Chardonnay
Region - Jura, France
Nose of apples from yellow to granny smith, lemon, mango, brioche, white flowers and wet stone freshness. Dry palate with vibrant acid, velvety bubbles. In continuation with the nose the palate retains heavy apple qualities but has more meyer lemon and mineral tones that deepen the complexity of this wine.
A cremant du jura that can rival quite a few Champagnes out there.
Domaine des Marnes Blanche was started by Pauline & Géraud Fromont when they were in their early twenties. Barely out of winemaking school, the couple purchased land in Cesancey, a town in the Southern Jura. Named after the area’s most illustrious soil type, they made a wide variety of styles: from ouillé Chardonnay’s to oxidative Savagnins, and lithe reds from autochthonous varieties.
