So exciting to try a natural wine from Peru! We know they grow grapes because of Pisco, but have only tried their wines in recent years. This is an equal blend of of Albilla (also known as Listan Blanco or Palomino from the Canary Islands) and Muscat, the grapes macerate on the skins for 60 days. Although, the wine spends 60 days on the skins, it is not an intense, tannic wine. Aromatic yet dry, tart and complex. Herbs, apples, with a crisp acidity. Some nutty and honeyed notes.
This winery is a dream come true and is a collaborative effort between Leopoldo Quintana and José Moquillaza.
