Varietals - Gamay, Pinot Noir, Syrah & Savanign
Region - Ontario, Canada
A true gem coming from Ontario. Made in the style of Burgundy's Passe-Tout-Grains appellation where winemakers blend Gamay and Pinot Noir grapes to create a youthful, ready to drink wine of supreme quality. Hinterland in partnership with David McMillan on L'Imparfait hit the nail right on the head. Adding some Syrah in for depth and a pinch of Savanign this wine is truly special. Spontaneously fermented and aged in neutral oak, this wine has aromas of red fruit, spice and herbs. A medium body, with firm acids, lingering tannins, a bloody texture with lush red fruits, spice and a persistent finish.
