As genuinely handmade whiskeys, our bottles work great as gifts, but often buyers don't know the taste preferences of the person they are gifting. We created these handsome, understated gift sets that present a selection of our whiskeys in an elegant, giftable set that shows the best of what our distillery can do. It's a tasting in a box with more of an experience than a single bottle. Our Aged 3-Bottle Gift Set includes three products: Straight Bourbon, Peated Bourbon, & Blended Bourbon.

Kings County Distillery’s Straight Bourbon is made from New York State 80% organic corn and 20% English malted barley, is twice distilled in copper pot stills and then aged in new charred oak barrels. Rich in caramel, vanilla, and holiday spice, this bottle is cited frequently in lists of best non-Kentucky bourbons. Aged for at least two years, this is a precocious whiskey, surprisingly robust for its age.

Peated Bourbon is a whiskey that conforms to the American requirements for bourbon but is made with malted barley that has been exposed to peat smoke, a practice common in scotch whiskies — in fact, the malt we use in our Peated Bourbon was even grown and kilned in Scotland. So it’s a hybrid whiskey of the two traditions: the high-corn mashbill and new-barrel aging produce a spirit that is unmistakably bourbon, while complimentary notes of barbecue and campfire smoke linger long after the sip. If scotch and bourbon had a baby, this double gold medal winner is what it would taste like.

Rarely associated with American distillers, blended whiskey usually calls to mind light-style, crowd-pleasing scotch or Canadian whiskies. While aiming to innovate within that tradition, we set about to create the American analog to those reliable and endlessly versatile spirits. Our Blended Bourbon is a whiskey for nearly every occasion: complex enough for daily sipping, robust enough for cocktails and highballs, yet approachable enough to accompany a cold beer. It is never sourced and always blended from a variety of aged whiskeys in our inventory. This whiskey is at once a reflection of our ongoing exploration of world distilling traditions as well as a thoughtful revival of an all-but-lost category of American whiskey.
