Grapes planted in rocky/clay soil on a site that was only planted in 2015. Greneche and Tannat were planted, two very different varieties to experiment making a “cool wine.” Varieties we’re picked together and were pressed full cluster for spontaneous/malolactic fermentation. Juice was then placed into a tank/puncheons for aging. The result came out to be a “winter rose.”
On the nose, there are under ripe red fruit and vanilla notes. Medium to full bodied on the palate, with a lot of depth with red fruit, herbal notes combined with a good minerality.
