From grapes grown in two different places: 50% come from estate vineyards in Perdriel by the side of the Mendoza River (rocky soils, clay and caliche) and the remainder from grapes grown in high elevation plots at 1400m over sand and limestones soils located in Gualtallary. The grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and go into concrete vats with spontaneous fermentation between 26º to 28ª degrees C for some weeks. Aging continues in used French oak barrels until the following vintage. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and low to no SO2 at bottling.
Tasting note: Aged in French oak for 12 months before bottling: a unique wine from one of Mendoza's legendary winemaking families. On the nose, it shows black forest fruits, vanilla and chocolate; with smooth, ripe tannins on the palate and a long finish.
