About the Producer - Veronica Ortega has an unquestionable pedigree. Training at some of the best wineries in the World from Domaine De La Romanee Conti to working harvests with Alvaro Palacios in Priorat. Her honed skill set and experience led her back to Spain to begin her own project. She uses the Mencia varietal as it reminds her of Pinot Noir she has worked with in Burgundy and Syrah that had harvested in the Rhone with Domaine Laurent Combier.
About the Wine - 'Quite' is Veronica Ortega's entry level wine producing around 20,000 bottles yearly. The grapes comes from 80 year old vines and the wine ages for 8 months half in neutral French Oak and half in Amphora. Dark and red fruit are abundant but the texture and acidity are what give this wine life. Perfect for steaks, stewed meats, ropa vieja, lamb & aged cheeses.
