Weingut Krutzler, Blaufränkisch Perwolff (2013)

( 0 Reviews )
Reinhold Krutzler is a fifth generation winegrower and second generation winemaker. All the grapes are hand-harvested and selected to ensure only the most ripe and perfect fruit is used in each cuvee. The Blaufrankish grapes come from the best site with iron rich and slate soil. The vines are between 30 and 50 years old. The grapes macerate for 28 days and are then gently pressed and aged for 18 months in small oak barrels.

The Perwolff cuvee is the winery‘s top wine and received the Falstaff award in ’09. Plums and dark berries, tobacco and mineral texture. Clean and structured with medium body balanced with a good backbone of acid.
