Short maceration (5-10 days) co-fermentation of Cabernet Franc and Syrah, blended with 50% whole bunch fermented Pinot Noir. Aged in amphora.
Alex Craighead Wines is the new estate wines label from Alex Craighead of Kindeli Wines.
Based in Upper Moutere, in the Nelson/Tasman region of New Zealand, they have a home vineyard of 4.8 hectares, planted with 14 different varieties. The home vineyard is entirely moutere clay, surrounded by bush and forrest with rolling and sometimes steep aspects, giving it a unique terroir. All their vineyards are managed organically with organic certification through Biogro New Zealand since 1998.
