Varietal: Pinot Noir
Vineyard: Les Fuées is a 1er Cru vineyard that forms the south-west border of the grand cru Bonnes-Mares. It lies at about the same altitude as Bonnes-Mares: 280-300 meters. The name Fuée is a word of Burgundian origin meaning “the vineyard surface that a man can hoe in one day”.
Soil: Clay/limestone with a fair amount of stones.
Viticulture: Lutte raisonée, organic after the flowering.
Vinification: Traditional vinification; 7 day cold maceration, 3 week alcoholic fermentation.
Aging: Aged in French barrels, 30% of which are new.
